Fan Breaks Into BTS Jungkook’s House, Gets Arrested — BIGHIT to Press Charges
BIGHIT Music demands criminal punishment, citing artist safety concerns
A female fan who attempted to break into BTS member Jungkook’s home was caught in the act and is currently under police investigation.
On June 30, BIGHIT Music released a statement via fan community platform Weverse, confirming the incident and ongoing legal action.
“We are cooperating fully with the investigation of a fan who attempted unauthorized entry into a BTS member’s residence,” the agency stated. “We have submitted surveillance footage and related evidence to ensure proper legal consequences.”
The agency emphasized its zero-tolerance stance toward stalking:
“Immediate reports to law enforcement are made in such cases, and restraining orders are actively pursued. We are responding with no leniency to any actions that threaten the privacy or safety of our artists.”
Incident Occurred on BTS Jungkook Military Discharge Day
The break-in attempt occurred on May 11, the same day Jungkook was discharged from his mandatory military service. That night, at around 11:20 p.m., a female Chinese fan was captured on CCTV repeatedly attempting to input the passcode at the front door of Jungkook’s residence in Yongsan, Seoul. Police arrested the woman on the spot for attempted trespassing.
The suspect reportedly told investigators that she traveled to Korea specifically to see Jungkook after his discharge.
Agency Pursues Legal Action Against Online Harassment
Additionally, BIGHIT shared updates on efforts against online harassment. “We have filed lawsuits against individuals responsible for malicious online posts this quarter, with some cases already resulting in fines.”
With BIGHIT Music explicitly stating their intention to pursue criminal charges, attention is now on the potential legal outcome of the case.
