Will 2ne1 reunion be made by YG?
The possibility that the group “2NE1” will unite at YG Entertainment to mark its 15th anniversary has been raised.
YG tried not to spoil much information on the 25th, but said, “The executive producer Yang Hyun-suk and the members have decided to meet.”
Last month, Yang Hyun Suk and CL, the leader of 2NE1, also reportedly had a meeting. YG didn’t say much at the time, saying, “It’s not an official meeting with the company and it’s hard to confirm.”
The industry believes that 2NE1 is likely to carry out a project to commemorate the 15th anniversary of its debut at YG.
Earlier, the members of 2NE1 posted group photos on their social media accounts, boasting their unchanged friendship.
In 2009, 2NE1 made their debut with Lollipop, a digital single that collaborated with the group Big Bang. Since then, they were sensational in Kpop industry, making hit songs such as “Fire,” “I Don’t Care,” “Can’t Nobody,” and “I’m the Best.”
In 2016, Min-ji left the team after her exclusive contract with YG ended. In 2017, only three members except Min-ji released a digital single, “Hello,” and ended their team activities. After all the members have changed their agencies, the four members occasionally disclose their updates. In 2022, the four members will be the first K-pop girl group to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
