Problem of the Stalking Cases
Regarding the invasion of privacy and stalking of V and other members of the BTS, HYBE said, “We are responding to stalking crimes that infringe on the privacy of artists and threaten their safety with zero tolerance.”
However the problem is not the agency, HYBE. Most stalking crimes are treated as misdemeanors and are only get fined in Korea. Because of this problem, the reality is that most stalking crimes continue habitually and repeatedly. The Supreme Court’s Sentencing Committee is deliberating on a sentencing standard that increases the sentence by up to three to five years in prison. It is being considered the nature of the crime as stalking has recently turned into a violent crimes.
Hope the sentence goes higher and stronger, so no one will suffer from the problem.
