ADOR and Dolphiners, the legal fight has started
As director of Dolphiners Shin Wooseok sued the management of the girl group New Jeans, Ador announced its official position.
On the afternoon of the 8th, an official from Ador told several Korean news outlets , “Ador has no personal feelings toward director Shin Wooseok, who made a good work with New Jeans,” but added, “We already filed a civil lawsuit against the Dolphiners and director Shin Wooseok about two months ago to hold him responsible for violating the contract and liable for damages for illegal activities.”
“It is very regrettable that head of Dolphiners, Shin Wooseok filed a groundless criminal complaint against the management of the company without responding to the civil suit,” Ador said.
Earlier on the 4th, Director Shin Woo-seok filed a complaint with the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul against Ador Kim Joo-young, CEO of HYBE CHRO, and Deputy CEO of Dokyung Lee on charges of violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Information Protection.
Director Shin Wooseok produced a number of music videos for New Jeans’ hit songs, but it became controversial when he revealed that he was asked to delete New Jeans-related works in the process of changing the door to new management as former CEO Min Hee-jin was dismissed after a conflict with HYBE.
