HYBE said, “We received the e-mail on April 3rd and already replied on April 16th that it was not plagiarism,” adding, “It is also a one-sided claim that the beginning of the Min Hee Jin incident originated from neglect, such as not receiving greetings, and I would like to tell you that it is not true.”
HYBE said, “We feel very sorry for CEO Min’s old practice of bringing artists and their families to her fight for her own greed.”
The e-mail obtained and reported by the ILGAN Sports is an e-mail sent to Ador on March 31 by the parents of New Jeans members Minji, Hani, Haerin, Danielle, and Hyein as legal representatives. In the e-mail, parents expressed concern and regret that BE:LIFT LAB new girl group ILLIT, which debuted on March 25, had many similarities and controversies with New Jeans in concepts (photographs, music videos, etc.), styling, and choreography.
In particular, parents pointed out, “The reason why (the raising of such a problem) is not considered groundless is because there have been many absurd situations,” and shocked them by saying, “Whenever New Jean’s members encountered Chairman Bang Si-hyuk in the company, I wonder why Chairman Bang pretended not to know the members and turned away from greetings.”

HYBE will inform you.
We would like to explain the e-mail reported by a media outlet on the 13th that New Jeans parents sent us.
We received the e-mail on April 3rd and already replied that it was not plagiarism on April 16th.
It is also a one-sided claim and untrue that the beginning of the Ador incident originated from neglect, such as not receiving greetings.
We feel very sorry for CEO Min’s old practice of bringing artists and their families to her fight for her own greed.
The company claims that sending emails attacking ▲ HYBE itself started as one of its plans to take over management rights and pursue private interests. ▲ CEO Min Hee Jin said that if she raises a problem, it will violate the contract between shareholders, so she dragged the New Jeans parents first. ▲ We have secured evidence that emails sent by members’ parents were written by Deputy CEO L and CEO Min, not New Jeans’ parents. We plan to submit this as evidence to investigative agencies and law enforcement agencies.
We are lamentable about CEO Min Hee-jin’s behavior of using artists as shields and even the members’ parents to pursue her own private interests. We urge you once again not to mislead public opinion, but to be careful to protect the value of artists.
