ADOR CEO Kim Jooyoung will attend Audit
Kim Jooyoung, CEO of Ador, an agency of the group New Jeans, will appear as a witness at the parliamentary audit.
An official from the National Assembly’s Environment and Labor Committee told Daily Sports on the 14th, “Both the parliamentary inspection witness (ADOR CEO Kim Jooyoung) and the reference witness (New Jeans’ member Hanni) have announced their attendance to tomorrow’s audit (15th).”
On the afternoon of the 15th, the two will attend a parliamentary audit of the Economic, Social and Labor Commission and agencies affiliated with the Ministry of Employment and Labor as witnesses and testifiers, respectively, to be asked questions from lawmakers about workplace harassment issues triggered by the recent “New Jeans being bullied in the agency incident.”
Their attendance at the parliamentary inspection was triggered by remarks during New Jeans’ live YouTube broadcast on the 11th of last month. At the time, New Jeans Hanni said, “I said hello to another artist (accordingly ;ILLIT’), and the manager of the artist told her, ‘Just ignore her’. I don’t know why (we) should be subjected like this,” sparking the so-called “bullying case.” As more than 100 cases of complaints of investigations by the Ministry of Employment and Labor were received by the Seoul Western District Office, the Environment and Labor Commission held a general meeting on the 30th of last month and adopted the member Hanni as a reference and ADOR CEO Kim Jooyoung as a witness.

Since then, there has been a lot of speculations over whether the two will actually attend the parliamentary inspection, and Hanni made headlines by saying on the fan communication platform Phoning on the afternoon of the 9th, “I will go to the parliamentary inspection alone for myself, the members and Bunnies (fandom name).”
Interest in whether Kim Joo Young will attend or not has also increased as Hanni has announced that she will make an attendance at the National Assembly, but Kim also confirmed her attendance after confirmation by the committee. Until now, Ador has expressed a cautious position, saying, “I will tell you when I am confirmed to attend.” However, as Hanni confirmed her attendance as a reference, Kim Joo Young also seems to have decided to attend.
Now, attention is focusing on what the two, who have already held several meetings in-house, will say in public as the head of the National Assembly. In particular, as CEO Kim Jooyoung is HYBE’s chief personnel officer, attention is being paid to how she will express the position of HYBE itself on the issue.
Earlier, BE:LIFT LAB countered the claims of Hanni and New Jeans’ members’ mothers, saying, “The ILLIT manager never said ‘Ignore’ the members of New Jeans.” However, the members’ mothers refuted again, saying, “When Hanni checked the CCTV in the first place, a security guard told Hanni, ‘There was a scene where they passed each other but without saying hello back as she came back in. However the security team didn’t keep it because they thought not greeting again was necessary when she came out as they said hello previously.”
How would the audit and National Assembly think about the controversy of HYBE and ADOR bullying New Jeans, and CEO Kim Jooyoung being suspected as neglecting her own job to protect her group, New Jeans? People are curious about how they will decide it.
