CEO of Ador Min Hee Jin directly explained the allegations of his group New Jean’s “Backbiting Kakaotalk chat.”
Ador Min Hee Jin held a press conference at the Korea Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul on Friday afternoon. She came forward to express her position on the extraordinary shareholders’ meeting of Ador, the first time in about a month since the press conference was held in dispute with the parent company HYBE on April 25.
HYBE, which owns 80 percent of Ador’s shares, dismissed Min’s in-house directors Shin and Kim at an extraordinary shareholders’ meeting on morning, and appointed its internal executives, CHRO Kim Joo-young, CSO Lee Jae-sang, and CFO Lee Kyung-joon, as new in-house directors. Min Hee Jin retained her position on Friday due to the provisional injunction, but the board of directors of Ador was reorganized into a one-on-three structure. Ador Min Hee Jin press conference
On the day of ADOR Min Hee Jin press conference, Min Hee Jin, answered a question about the New Jeans backbiting message that was released during the trial. “Do you remember the message from three years ago? It is worthless to mention it because it is out of the question. It does not fit the issue,” she said firmly.
“The reason I mentioned New Jeans at the last press conference was not to divert public opinion, but because I had no choice but it just came out,” she said. “At the time, I was out of my mind. I had not slept for three days and had not washed up. It is cruel to say that I did it to divert public opinion, and if I did, wouldn’t that be psycho?” she expressed anger.
In addition, Min Hee Jin, the CEO of the company, responded about a question mentioning New Jeans, BTS, ILLIT, and LE SSERAFIM due to the conflict with HYBE.
She said, “I think New Jeans were hurt and everyone was hurt. It’s not just anyone. I am also human. One of the employees once said, ‘People seem to think Heejin is not human.’ Everyone is human. I’m not specifying anyone. If you don’t want to hurt everyone, you should stop mentioning it. But the fact that you keep bringing it up and mentioning whether it hurts or not is hurtful in itself. Now that I think of them, I wish we wouldn’t mention them. Again, compromise is needed to close the wound.”
