[BREAKING] ADOR Terminates Contract with NewJeans Danielle, Files Lawsuit for Damages: Now NewJeans is 4

The possibility of a full 5-member reunion for NewJeans has officially vanished. ADOR announced today that they have terminated the exclusive contract of member Danielle, signaling a permanent fracture in the group’s original lineup.

On December 29, ADOR released an official statement: “In the case of Danielle, we have determined that it is no longer possible for her to continue as a member of NewJeans and an artist under ADOR. Consequently, we have notified her of the termination of her exclusive contract as of today.”

The Legal War Begins: Massive Lawsuits Filed Against Danielle and Min Hee-jin

The agency further clarified their stance on the ongoing conflict: “We intend to hold Min Hee-jin and one specific family member of Danielle legally accountable for instigating this dispute and bearing heavy responsibility for the departure of members and the delay of the group’s return.”

ADOR is expected to file a lawsuit against Danielle today for contractual penalties and damages. As Danielle (born in 2004) is legally an adult, the legal proceedings will be directed at her personally. This move is separate from the legal actions taken against her family and former CEO Min Hee-jin.

While members Haerin and Hyein had previously signaled their return, and Hanni has officially decided to stay with ADOR following recent court rulings, Danielle’s departure marks the definitive end of the OT5 era. ADOR mentioned that Minji is still in the process of “sincere dialogue” to resolve deep-seated misunderstandings caused by “distorted and biased information.”

The agency concluded by stating they will do their best to resolve the remaining issues so that NewJeans can return to the fans quickly. However, with one member facing a lawsuit and a contract termination, the industry is in shock as the reality sets in: Now NewJeans is 4.
