Ahn Somyi denies TWS Dohoon Sponsor Rumors
“I’ve never even met him”: Ahn Somyi responds to allegations involving TWS member Dohoon
Ahn Somyi, formerly member of girl group DIA, has announced legal action after shocking online rumors accused her of financially sponsoring Dohoon of TWS and working as a madam at a high-end escort bar (in Korean, Tenpro).
On May 7, her agency Moden Berry Korea released a statement calling the claims “entirely false” and declared that they would take firm legal measures. The rumors, initially posted on DC Inside, quickly spread across online communities, where the male idol was explicitly named.
The now-deleted post claimed that Ahn Somyi had been a madam at Tenpro, a luxury escort bar, and offered financial support to Dohoon. Her agency responded, “Ahn Somyi has never worked at Tenpro and does not know the mentioned individual. We have secured clear evidence and will be filing criminal complaints. No leniency will be granted.”
Ahn Somyi shifts focus to producing new boy group “Earth Boys”
After debuting with DIA in 2017 and appearing on The Unit, Ahn Somyi left the group in 2022 due to health reasons and has since worked as an internet broadcaster (BJ). In her current role at Modenberry Korea, she’s involved in producing, planning, and directing for a new boy group, Earth Boys, scheduled to debut in 2028.
“We will not ignore this any longer,” the agency said. “We intend to hold all responsible parties fully accountable through legal action.”
Official Statement from Moden Berry Korea about Ahn Somyi Rumors
“The rumors posted on the online community DC Inside on May 6—such as the ‘Tenpro madam’ and ‘TWS Dohoon sponsor’ allegations—are entirely false. These are clear cases of defamation and infringement of personal rights.”
“We view this as a serious issue that damages not only Ahn Somyi’s reputation but also that of a third party. We have secured sufficient evidence and will proceed with legal complaints through our legal representatives. We will respond with the strongest possible legal action and no leniency will be shown.”
