ALICE SOHEE quits her career as an K-pop idol
Alice Sohee announced her retirement with the announcement of her marriage.
An official from Alice Sohee’s side told several Korean news outlets including Xsports News on the 26th, “Sohee will marry her boyfriend, a businessman who is 15 years older than her.”
“Sohee’s exclusive contract with IOK is about to expire. The agency and Sohee decided not to renew the exclusive contract and she decided to retire from the entertainment industry,” he said. So Sohee decided to stop her career as an K-pop idol and have a happy marriage with her boyfriend. It seems her love story with 15 years older businessman will be stay in veiled as she would retire from the industry.
Who is she?
Sohee, who was born in 1999 and is 26 years old in Korea this year, appeared on SBS’ “K-Pop Star 6-The Last Chance” when she was a high school student in 2016 and by her talent she was well known in Korea. She made her solo debut in May 2017 and became a member of a girl group when she debuted as Alice in June of the same year. She was the main vocalist and main dancer of the group. Last year, she appeared as Lee Soon-yi in TVing’s “After School War Activities.”
However, Sohee is planning to give up her career in the entertainment industry and live a non-celebrity life after marrying her boyfriend who is a businessman. The contract with her agency is reportedly about a month away.
