Areum and boyfriend fighting over the turth
Areum, a former member of the group “T-ara,” claimed to have been imprisoned and threatened by her ex-boyfriend Seo.
Lee Jinho, a former reporter of the Korean entertainment news outlet, posted an YouTube video titled “Why Areum break up with her boyfriend?” on his YouTube channel “Entertainment President Lee Jinho” on the 19th.

In the video, Lee Jinho revealed the phone call he had with Areum. Areum broke up with Seo, and claims there is an evidence of threats she got from him. “I was never a con artist, but I was threatened and assaulted by him, so I stayed with him for months. Confinement and intimidation by him are true. I was forced to borrow money from the private loan and had to run away. I never did illegal betting,” she said.
Lee Jinho questioned Areum’s claim, mentioning a recording of a call that contains Areum borrowing money from a fan. “Areum said that she had no choice because Seo, Areum boyfriend mentioned the children, and she was assaulted and even imprisoned. The DM (direct message) sent to the fans was also said to have been done by Seo while he was drunk with medicine.”
The biggest topic was the use of 40 million won worth of money borrowed by Areum and Seo from fans, and Lee Jinho said, “Areum’s friends said they never played illegal sports betting. However, Sen, Areum boyfriend was seen betting on illegal sports betting.”
Meanwhile, Seo told the exact opposite story, “I am the complete victim,” Seo said in a telephone interview with Lee Jin-ho. “Areum is making mysterious claims because she is possessed by a ghost. She drank while she was pregnant, too.” Seo said. “I have been receiving a lot of mental abuse (from Areum).”
So both of them are making completely opposite claims. Whose claim is the truth?
