Areum, a former member of T-ara, forewarned legal action on the malicious comments about the alleged money fraud surrounding the her boyfriend A.
On April 1, Areum released details of the calculation of medical expenses on her social media, along with a post saying, “Look at the humans who talked about my death threshold being false.”
Arum said, “This is the last prey I give you. Eat a lot,” and added, “Don’t make a fuss about human life. I’m angry that all I can do is defamation, but you’ll live in hell for the rest of your life.”
“I have no feelings of injustice and I am living very peacefully,” she said. “Look forward to those who will be punished. I will make you bend your back when I sleep with my legs stretched out. Lastly, don’t mention our children carelessly,” she said, expressing her discomfort.
“How does it feel to make comments on someone, just because that person has been in the entertainment industry?” he said. “I really want to ask if anyone who wrote malicious comments and rumor articles has any children or nephews. At least live with a minimum moral conscience.”
Areum said she would sternly respond to the malicious comments and others who have generated rumors about her. “Thanks to my loyal acquaintances and malicious comments, I have no love for humanity except for my fans and family,” she warned. “Don’t contact me to apologize. I think I will not be able to forgive you then.”
Earlier on the 27th, a YouTuber claimed that Areum and A were “borrowing money” from Areum’s fans. Arum countered that she was “hacked,” and later released a photo of Areum lying in the hospital, saying it was a miracle she survived after making an extreme choice.
The Dispatch described Mr. A as the con artist and reported that Mr. A was sentenced to two and a half years in prison on charges of violating the Act on Special Cases concerning Fraud, Threatening, and Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes. The media reported that Areum and A approached T-ara fans in the name of the cost of hiring a lawyer and child treatment and extorted money.
Meanwhile, Areum made her debut as a member of T-ara in July 2012 and withdrew in July the following year. Former T-ARA Areum married a businessman B who was two years her senior in 2019 and had two sons. However, she revealed that she was filing for divorce in December last year and disclosed her meeting with her new boyfriend A.
