ATEEZ Coachella OVERVIEW
The group “ATEEZ” was the first K-pop boy group to perform on the stage of the “Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival” (hereinafter referred to as “Coachella”). ATEEZ successfully completed its first performance of “Coachella” at Coachella Valley in Indio, California, on the 12th (local time).
When ATEEZ’s performance began on this day, a large eye filled the LED screen and caught people’s eyes. Scenes that implied future stages were listed one by one, drawing attention. ATEEZ appeared on the dark stage, making the scene excited only with the opening.
The group then opened the concert with “Say My Name” and instantly raised the heat of the scene. After “Say My Name” a parade of ATEEZ’s signature songs, including “HALA HALA,” “Guerrilla” (Flag Ver.), “Crazy Form,” and “BOUNCY” followed up. The highlights of the “Bouncy” stage was, train shaped choreography and dance movement reminiscent of limbo.
ATEEZ, THE KOREAN GROUP
ATEEZ used traditional objects such as flags emblazoned with envoys on the stage of “The Real.” LED images with colorful pearl patterns revealed Korea’s unique beauty. The traditional Korean folk game “Ganggangsullae” was incorporated into the choreography to capture the climax of the performance. The team of Bongsan Mask Dance Preservation Society, a national intangible cultural asset, performed an exciting dance performance. ATEEZ Coachella stage was a stage that we could smell the scent of Korea.
ATEEZ interacted with audiences in English on various stages. Ahead of the last song “WONDERLAND”, the members said “We were deeply moved to see them enjoying our performance and singing along. “Thank you so much for coming to see us, and more than anything, I am most grateful for ATINY (official fandom name).”
ATEEZ continued the entire hour-long performance to the full band’s performance. They will perform their second performance of “Coachella” a week later on Wednesday (local time).
