Honored at 2025 K-Expo for K-pop Excellence

ATEEZ (Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yeosang, and Jongho) was awarded the Seoul Mayor’s Award at the 7th Newsis K-Expo, held at Lotte Hotel’s Crystal Ballroom in Seoul on August 28. The event, launched in 2019, aims to promote the sustainability of Hallyu and boost the cultural industry’s competitiveness, backed by Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Foreign Affairs, Seoul Metropolitan Council, and others.

During the ceremony, ATEEZ shared, “We’re honored to receive this award at such a meaningful event. As K-pop becomes a genre beyond a phenomenon, we will continue to do our best as proud participants in this movement.”

Fans at the Core of ATEEZ’s Success

They added, “It’s thanks to the love of fans, especially our ATINYs, that we are here today. We deeply appreciate everyone who values K-pop so highly.” Their message underscored the group’s strong bond with their global fanbase.

Billboard Breakthrough and Global Tour Impact

ATEEZ recently made history as the first K-pop boy group to perform at Coachella, and their latest mini-album Golden Hour: Part.3 debuted at No.2 on the Billboard 200. Title track Lemon Drop entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No.69—making them the third K-pop boy group ever to chart there. Its follow-up In Your Fantasy climbed even higher, debuting at No.68.

In July, ATEEZ kicked off their “IN YOUR FANTASY” world tour, performing across 12 North American cities, including stadium shows in New York (Citi Field), LA (BMO Stadium), and Mexico City (Estadio GNP Seguros), highlighting their global presence as a “world-class” K-pop act.

Looking ahead, ATEEZ will continue their global journey with the release of their second Japanese studio album “Ashes to Light” on September 17.
