ATEEZ member Yunho is stepping onto the big screen for the first time with Back! Stage (directed by Bang Sung-joon), a 22-minute music short film set to premiere exclusively in CGV theaters on August 18.
Produced by CJ ENM, the project takes a fresh approach, filming the entire movie on the iPhone 16 Pro. Marketed as a “music snack movie,” it promises an intense, fast-paced experience packed into just over 20 minutes.
Plot and Highlights
The story follows Gi-seok (Yunho), who gets an unexpected call from the band that cut ties with him two years ago—asking him to fill in as lead vocalist right before a major performance. The film captures the emotional whirlwind that unfolds backstage, from heated clashes to an eventual reunion.
The newly released poster shows Gi-seok and his band back on stage, delivering a powerful set. Combined with earlier teasers hinting at tense confrontations, anticipation is building for how the story will resolve.
Production Team and Soundtrack
Adding to the buzz, the soundtrack comes from the acclaimed music director behind Lovely Runner (선재 업고 튀어), ensuring a deeply emotional score that amplifies the band’s story. Top producers Kim Jin-woo (12.12: The Day, Harbin) and Lee Yong-soo also joined the project, raising expectations for quality and impact.
