‘BATTER UP’ Spotify 100 Million Streaming
YG’s new girl group Baby Monster has added a new record on Spotify with its pre-debut song “BATTER UP.”
According to Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming platform, Baby Monster’s “BATTERUP” has been played more than 100 million times as of Thursday (local time). It is their first 100 million streaming song in about five months since its release on November 27, last year. At that time, the group called it as the debut song, however Baby Monster Ahyeon was not in the team, they officially changed the official debut date and it became the pre-debut song.
This is because the recently released mini-album [BABYMONS7ER] has gained favorable reviews among music fans, further igniting the popularity of Baby Monster. Various activities that can check the member’s talented live performance have continued, and the trend of streaming of all released songs, including “BATTERUP,” has accelerated, and the monthly listener (the number of listeners in the last 28 days) has now exceeded 9.4 million.
Meanwhile, Baby Monster is gaining popularity at home and abroad after releasing its first mini-album “BABYMONS7ER” on the 1st.
