BLACKPINK Lisa Donates Flea Market Proceeds to Support Children in Niger: “I Will Continue to Share”
BLACKPINK’s Lisa has once again proven her global influence, not just as an artist but as a philanthropist.
According to Sony Music Korea on August 18, Lisa donated all proceeds from her Welcome to Lisa’s Closet flea market, held in June, to Good Neighbors, a global NGO focused on children’s rights. The event in Hannam-dong, Seoul featured sales of Lisa’s personal clothing, accessories, and beauty items. Beyond providing a memorable experience for fans, it carried the meaningful purpose of giving back, earning wide acclaim.
Donation to Fund Water and Sanitation in Niger
Good Neighbors confirmed that the contribution will support a water and sanitation project in the Kolo region of Niger, Africa. The funds will go toward installing solar-powered systems, water tanks, and clean water facilities, benefiting more than 6,800 residents and children.
Lisa expressed gratitude for the initiative, saying:
“Thanks to everyone who joined me in this act of giving, I was able to bring hope to someone’s future, and it was truly a meaningful moment. I will continue to practice sharing so that I can bring positive change to children in need.”
Global Impact Beyond Music
Alongside her philanthropic work, Lisa continues to build an impressive solo career. Recently, she unveiled the short film for Dream, a track from her first full-length solo album Alter Ego, showcasing fresh chemistry with Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi.
Earlier this year, Lisa also became the first K-pop female soloist to perform on Coachella’s Sahara Stage. Her February release Born Again earned her a third nomination for Best K-Pop at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, cementing her status as a record-breaking artist.
Currently, Lisa is actively engaging with fans worldwide through BLACKPINK’s global ‘DEADLINE’ world tour, further solidifying her reputation as a global icon.
