BOYNEXTDOOR at Mezamashi TV 30th Anniversary!
The group BOYNEXTDOOR was invited to a large music festival in Japan. By this invitation it is showing off its prowess as a “rookie of K-pop” that attracting the local attention.
BOYNEXTDOOR will appear at the “Mezamashi TV’s 30th Anniversary Festival” which will be held at the Tokyo Garden Theater on March 16. This festival marks the 30th anniversary of the broadcast of Japan’s Fuji TV’s flagship information program “Mezamashi TV.” It will be expansion of its regular outdoor performance, “Mezamashi Live.” It will be touring through eight cities. Fuji TV announced the first lineup of Tokyo performances, which will mark the end of the festival tour on the 16th. BOYNEXTDOOR became the only Korean artist to be listed.
By the invitation, BOYNEXTDOOR said “We are happy to appear at an event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of ‘Mezamashi TV.’ It is the platform where our first TV interview was in Japan.”
BOYNEXTDOOR is an idol group that debuted in May, 2023 under HYBE Entertainment. It is marking itself as a rookie 5th generation boy group in short period. They actually did not have their official debut in Japan, however they are being recognized. They have been invited to major festivals such as “INSPIRE TOKYO 2023,” an urban cultural festival held by local famous radio station J-WAVE since last year, Japan’s largest fashion and music festival “Rakuten Girls Awards 2023 AUTUMN/WINTER,” and “SUPERPOP JAPAN 2023.” They are showing their influence as the major rookie.
BOYNEXTDOOR is growing steeply, with a total of 717,927 copies sold in 2023. The leader of the group, Jaehyun even became mc trio on MCOUNTDOWN.
