BTS Disbandment? RM Apologizes to ARMY for Live Broadcast Where He Discussed Possibility

BTS leader RM has issued a heartfelt apology to fans after conducting a revealing live broadcast where he contemplated the possibility of ‘team disbandment.’

On the evening of the 8th, RM took to Weverse, opening his message with a direct apology: “My apologies for causing alarm and fatigue to many ARMYs with my live broadcast two days ago.”

He continued: “I received many worried messages. I regret turning the live on, but my complicated and frustrated feelings just took the lead. I am sorry. Please look upon me kindly. I will just make music, practice choreography diligently, think about new content, and sleep well.”

“Thought Tens of Thousands of Times”

During the initial broadcast on the 6th, RM candidly revealed the immense pressure surrounding the upcoming full-group comeback. He confessed, “Everyone has a lot of worries. How should we successfully proceed to the next step?” and added, “Of course, we have changed. We have changed, and you all must have changed as well. I am very cautious about commenting on that.”

The most critical revelation was the depth of his internal struggle: “I truly thought tens of thousands of times whether it would be better to disband the team or suspend activities.” RM quickly reaffirmed his commitment: “The reason we are maintaining the team now is because of the love we have for each other, and the love and respect we have for all of you watching this live. Regardless, preparations are underway.”

Two days after the sensitive discussion, RM apologized for raising concerns and shared a lighthearted update to ease fans’ minds: “I will take my [driver’s license] driving test soon, and yesterday I drove all four courses with the practice sticker on. It was scary (I didn’t crash).” He concluded: “It is very cold, so please dress warmly and don’t catch a cold. That is all!”

Meanwhile, BTS is currently working toward a comeback targeting Spring 2026 and plans to hold a large-scale world tour along with the release of their new album.
