Big Hit Music under HYBE has issued a second apology regarding its group BTS member Jin offline event.

On June 3, Big Hit Music announced the changed and confirmed application criteria through the BTS fan communication platform, Weverse, saying, “We apologize once again for the inconvenience caused in the application process for the BTS Jin hug event.”
According to the notice, all those who purchased Jin’s solo single “The Astronaut” or BTS’s “Proof” at the Weverse Shop before the announcement at 11 a.m. on June 2 will be able to apply regardless of new purchases.
The agency said, “Since the announcement on June 2nd, those who have purchased and applied for the album (‘Proof’, ‘The Astronaut’, ‘Indigo’, ‘FACE’, ‘D-DAY’, ‘Jack In The Box’, ‘Layover’, ‘GOLDEN’, ‘HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1’, and ‘Right Place, Wrong Person’) should not be harmed. We ask for your understanding that the past purchase history was reflected by seeking ways within the scope of the current system and schedule. Considering that ‘BTS FESTA’ is a BTS event, we will reflect the most recently released group album ‘Proof’ and member Jin’s solo single ‘The Astronaut’ with BTS FESTA offline event this year.”
They also explained its position on Jin’s safety concerns caused by the so-called ‘BTS Jin hug event,’ that hugs 1,000 fans. The agency said, “Jin’s Greetings, the first part of the offline event, has been confirmed after much discussion between artists and the management department. We will make every effort to manage the safety of both fans and artists through pre-rehearsals.”
Finally, the agency said, “Thank you once again for your high expectations and support ahead of Jin’s discharge, and we are sorry for causing concern in the preparation process. We will humbly accept the rebuke you send with care for the artist and try to make it a pleasant event for everyone.” He is scheduled to be discharged from the army on June 12.
Jin welcomed his fans by announcing that he will hold a face-to-face event just one day after his discharge from the military. As part of the “2024 BTS FESTA” , an offline event marking the 11th anniversary of BTS’ debut to be held in Songpa-gu, Seoul on June 13.
