BTS Jin Hug Event is coming!
BTS Jin will be discharged from his military duty on June 12, 2024. For the long waited fans, BTS Jin plans to meet the fans at 2024 Festa, which is an event to celebrate BTS debut anniversary. The news was out yesterday (on 1st), that BTS Jin will give a hug to the fans who have been waiting.
At first, people were enthusiastic to see one of the biggest star to comeback to the industry, and thought it was sweet to hug the fans. However, as the details of the BTS Jin Hug event has released, Koreans start to criticize.
How to Apply the event?
To apply the BTS Jin Hug event, you can buy any albums that was released after ‘Proof,’ including all members’ solo albums. Applications will be automatically applied for the total number of albums ordered by the Weverse shop within the period, not the number of orders.
This made the people to feel that the ones who attend BTS Jin Meet and Greet, would be 1,000 people who bought the most.
How Koreans react to the notice?
- I think the agency thinks fans just as money ㅋㅋ If they really think fans, and if they are putting a restriction on people for fear of crowding, they can just do lucky draw with fans buying just one album. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Lim Youngwoong gave out his commercial event items to anyone who bought item without having restriction of the price. They earned huge amount but doing it again?

So basically, the atmosphere of Korean online communities, (DAUM Cafe), they are worried if Jin can hug 1,000 fans just in a day, and think HYBE is using the member and the fans just as the method of money. BTS Jin Hug event, itself is being praised as ‘good idea’ done by BTS Jin’s sweet heart, but making fans to buy as much as albums, including other members’ solo album is earning criticism.
