BTS V Layover earns glory at Japan’s Gold Disc on 10th

BTS V Layover adds one more record!

BTS member V’s solo move also left a significant record in Japan.

The agency Big Hit Music announced on the 10th that V’s first solo album “Layover,” released in September last year, recorded 250,000 cumulative shipments as of September, gaining a gold disc “Platinum” record.

The song, which was released more than a year ago as the first certification record of V’s gold disc “Platinum,” has attracted attention in that it is constantly loved.

The Japan Records Association grants gold disc certifications such as gold (over 100,000 copies), platinum (over 250,000 copies), double platinum (over 500,000 copies), triple platinum (over 750,000 copies) and million (over 1 million copies) every month, depending on cumulative single and album shipments.

BTS V’s Layover is also popular in Oricon, Japan chart. The album’s LP was recently released, and thanks to the album’s success, “Layover” topped the Oricon Daily Album Rankings (Sept. 30).

“Layover” was a huge hit when it was released, going straight to the top of the “Daily Album Rankings.” The title track of the album, “Slow Dancing,” also topped the “Daily Digital Singles Rankings,” and V achieved the feat of dominating both album and music charts at the same time.
