BTS V Officially Discharged on June 10: Shares Emotional Message to ARMY
“I rebuilt my body and mind during service — I’m ready to return”
BTS member V (Kim Taehyung) has completed his mandatory military service and shared heartfelt reflections on June 10. Upon discharge from his base in Gangwon Province, he greeted the press with a salute, saying, “Sergeant Kim Taehyung, discharged! Loyalty!”
He continued, “Military life gave me time to reflect and rebuild both my body and mind. I’m so grateful to ARMY for waiting. Truly, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Please wait just a little longer, and I’ll come back with an unforgettable performance.”
RM and V in June 10 Discharge — Saxophone Surprise for Fans
RM, who enlisted alongside V in December 2023, also completed his service on June 10. Known for his musical talent, RM delighted fans with a surprise saxophone performance at the discharge site, creating a warm and cheerful atmosphere.
Both BTS members served in specialized roles—V in the military police unit and RM in the military band.
With V and RM discharged, BTS now has four members who have completed military service: Jin, J-Hope, RM, and V. Jimin and Jungkook are scheduled to be discharged on June 11, while SUGA will complete his alternative service on June 21, officially ending BTS’s military hiatus.
BTS FESTA 2025 Celebrates 12 Years with Fans
To mark BTS’s 12th debut anniversary, HYBE is hosting the “2025 BTS FESTA” until June 14. The offline event takes place on June 13–14 at KINTEX Halls 9–10 in Goyang City, with attractions like the Voice Zone, Trophy Zone, and hourly Signature Light Show.
HYBE also wrapped its headquarters in Seoul with banners displaying BTS and ARMY logos along with the message “WE ARE BACK,” which will remain until June 29.
