BTS V with Bing Crosby for “White Christmas” Duet
BTS member V is bringing a fresh twist to Bing Crosby’s timeless carol, “White Christmas.” The duet, featuring V and the legendary singer’s original vocals, will be released worldwide on December 6 at 2 PM KST. This collaboration celebrates the connection between the “21st Century Pop Icon” and one of his musical inspirations.
V has often expressed his admiration for Bing Crosby, covering classics like “It’s Been a Long, Long Time” and “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.” Recognizing this, Primary Wave, the agency managing Crosby’s estate, proposed the idea of a duet.
“V’s love for Bing Crosby’s music made him the perfect choice,” said Primary Wave. “We believe their voices will harmonize beautifully on ‘White Christmas,’ a song cherished by fans worldwide.”
Since its debut in 1942, “White Christmas” has been covered by global stars like Michael Bublé and Taylor Swift. However, this marks the first official duet with Bing Crosby’s original recording. The agency emphasized that this project is more than just a strategic collaboration: “V’s passion and sincerity have made this partnership truly special. We expect it to resonate deeply with music fans everywhere.”
This release is V’s second winter-themed gift for fans this year. On November 29, he dropped “Winter Ahead,” a jazz-pop track created with Park Hyo-shin. Known for his love of jazz, V infused the song with warm melodies and heartfelt lyrics that evoke a sense of togetherness.
