COSMOSY Catches Global Attention, Named to Google’s ‘2025 Year in Search’ List
The group COSMOSY has been recognized as a rookie that captured the world’s attention in 2025.
According to their agency on December 12th, COSMOSY was listed in the ‘Global Trending Searches: K-Pop Debut’category of Google’s announced ‘2025 Year in Search.’ The inclusion of a team that debuted less than a year ago proves the explosive global interest from music fans toward COSMOSY.
COSMOSY first unveiled their unique universe in February with their pre-debut song ‘Jiggy=Jiggy’ and officially began activities in April with their debut single ‘Lucky=One.’ Despite being composed of four Japanese members (Himesha, Dihana, Kamion, Eimei), they have been praised for opening a new horizon for 6th-generation idols as a ‘Hybrid Group,’blending the K-pop system with multilingual lyrics that freely switch between Korean, Japanese, and English.
New Single and Global Activities
COSMOSY has been actively promoting their new single, ‘Physics ~ The Physical Story ~’ (Physics ~ 物理的な ~), released on November 28th. The track is a pre-release single from their second EP, Of The World, scheduled for release next March. The song expresses the emotion of love encountered in a strange world by likening it to physical laws, such as gravity. The ‘Oriental SF’ worldview unfolded over the sensational sound that crosses house and pop showcases COSMOSY’s unique identity.
Their growth trajectory is steep. In July, they were invited to the ‘LA Anime Expo 2025’ in the US, meeting global fans. They continued their non-stop schedule, performing at Japan’s largest music festival, ‘A-Nation 2025,’ in August and releasing their first EP album, the a(e)nd, in September. This ‘Year in Search’ selection confirms that the organic combination of ‘music + visuals + worldview’ presented by COSMOSY has resonated in the global market, with their innovative path, beginning with their debut song ‘Lucky=One,’ causing worldwide listeners to search and explore their content.
COSMOSY’s agency stated, “It is an honor to achieve a meaningful result in a global index in our debut year. To repay the interest shown, we plan to return in 2026 with an expanded worldview and music, so please look forward to it.”
