Is Dia Somyi going to jail?

Attention is drawn to the recent status of BJ Somyi, a former member of the girl group DIA.
On the 27th of last month, a final trial was held at the Seoul Central District Court on charges of innocence against A (24), who is known as a live streamer, who was former member of girl group. On that day, the prosecution sentenced A to one year in prison.
Earlier in January last year, A filed a complaint on charges of attempted rape, saying that the CEO of his agency tried to rape him. However, the investigation revealed that it was a false complaint, and in September of the same year, he was indicted without detention on charges of false accusation. At that time, A’s claim that he ran out of the office was not true as a result of on-site CCTV analysis, and A, who almost got sexually assaulted, came out of the office and hugged B.
In the final trial, A reportedly said that he did not want the CEO of his agency to be punished, but said, “I cannot admit that he was vindictive because he tried to have sex by agreement or did not want to break up with his girlfriend.”

The sentencing date for A will be held at 10 a.m. on the 21st. So the final result is not yet.
As the news spread, attention is being paid to A’s identity and the recent status of streamers from girl groups. Examples of turning to streamers after working as a girl group include Eunjin and Somyi from DIA, Seo Ji-soo from Lovelyz, and Elin from Crayon Pop.
Why Dia Somyi?
Among them, special attention is being paid to Somyi’s recent situation, who is the same age as A.
DIA Somyi joined the group in 2017, but was absent in 2019 due to health reasons, and began her career on an internet broadcasting platform in 2021. When the news about her streaming broke, the agency officially announced the termination and withdrawal of her exclusive contract. So she was no longer DIA Somyi.
Somyi hasn’t been on the air since January last year. Also, since August, updates to Instagram posts have been cut off. On the TikTok account, I was able to confirm that the post was uploaded by the 21st of last month. However, the comment function is off.
There is a lot of speculation about Somyi’s recent status, but she has not expressed any position.
So we can not say that DIA Somyi is the one having lawsuit for sure, but there is a high possibility that the speculation is true. However, Somyi going to jail for an year is something that is unsure until 21st of March.
