12 Years and more
EXO, an idol group debuted on April 8,2012 is now on a turning point. The group was under care of SM entertainment for 12 years. If we include the trainee years, some members were in SM for up to 18 years. (SUHO started his training in 2005) As usual, idols’ first contract is 7 years, and because of army duty boy group’s second contract is 5 years. So this year is the end of most members of EXO. Because of this, it is chaotic for SM, EXO’s agency. After some members got discharged from the army, the group has released the 7th full album, ‘EXIST’. While this album was promoted, EXO’s agency SM had to deal with several rumors about EXO’s remaining.
EXO’s Agency Problem
At first, it was about Baekhyun, Chen, Xiumin, easily EXO-CBX. The 3 members had complaints SM entertainment’s renewal contract and attitude. This occurred rumors that those 3 members might move to other agency. At last, the agency and EXO-CBX reached to the consent, and they are remaining.
Secondly, EXO Sehun and Chanyeol, EXO-SC had rumors about moving. The rumor was put to rest easily, as SM cleared the contract between SM and EXO-SC is remaining. To read more about it, click the button.
Sehun and Chanyeol Remaining at SMThird and last is D.O. D.O, or known as Doh Kyung Soo, is moving to other company. It is confirmed, and he is moving on with the manager who was taking care of him for long time. However, he will continue his career as EXO with his members. As he is actor Doh Kyung Soo, it seemed he needed care on acting, too.
SUHO’s Reaction
Suho, the leader of EXO appeased EXO-L (EXO’s fandom name) from the stress of EXO’s agency problems. EXO-Ls were worried and sad that they might not able to see complete EXO as the agency differences occur. However, Suho reassured to fans, that they will still be EXO, the one team. “Don’t worry about the future activities. Suho will take care of it.” The leader Suho made fans and netizens applause on him.
