EXO Chanyeol Surpasses 100 Million Won in Donations for Hearing-Impaired Children
EXO member Chanyeol has made headlines for his remarkable philanthropic efforts, surpassing a cumulative donation of 100 million won to support children with hearing impairments. On December 23, the nonprofit organization Snail of Love, dedicated to aiding individuals with hearing disabilities, announced that Chanyeol donated an additional 20 million won, earning him a prestigious spot in their high-donor club, “Soul Leader.”
Ongoing Contributions to Hearing-Impaired Children
The “Soul Leader” club recognizes donors who have contributed over 99 million won, a nod to “Ear Day” celebrated on September 9. Chanyeol began his regular sponsorship with Snail of Love in 2021, funding essential cochlear implant surgeries and speech rehabilitation treatments for hearing-impaired children. His consistent monthly donations, along with additional contributions during special occasions like Children’s Day and year-end holidays, have now totaled over 100 million won.
To date, Chanyeol’s donations have supported cochlear implant surgeries and speech therapy for 13 children. His latest contribution will also be utilized to help more children regain their ability to hear. Expressing his commitment to this cause, EXO Chanyeol stated, “I am happy to help hearing-impaired children regain their ability to hear and grow up healthy through surgeries and speech rehabilitation treatments. I will continue my regular sponsorships and strive to help more children hear beautiful music and the kind voices of those around them.”
