EXO Full Comeback Back on Track as CBX Reconciles with SM Entertainment
CBX has decided to reconcile with SM Entertainment.
On October 29, INB100, the agency representing Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin (CBX), released an official statement apologizing for the delay in addressing fans’ concerns about EXO’s potential full-group activities. The agency explained that after the second mediation session held on October 2, CBX had accepted all conditions proposed by SM to ensure EXO’s group comeback at the end of the year and clearly conveyed their intention to reach an agreement.
CBX’s side stated,
“While we were making efforts for EXO’s full-group activities, we came across the announcement of a fan meeting and full-length album release that excluded Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin. We apologize for the delay in our response, as we needed time to understand SM’s position amid this unexpected situation.”
They added,
“The CBX members have always valued the sincerity of fans who have supported them for so long and deeply hoped for EXO’s full-group activities, which is why they chose the path of reconciliation. We plan to finalize an agreement soon to make full-group promotions possible.”

INB100 and its artists Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin (CBX) have made a promise to fans to continue EXO’s full-group promotions and have made every possible effort to make that happen. Below is a summary of the discussions that have taken place so far:
- July 9, 2025 – First confirmation of intent to reach an agreement with SM Entertainment
CBX met directly with SM to confirm their mutual direction and willingness to reach an agreement for EXO’s full-group activities. - September 10, 2025 – Exchange of detailed terms
Both sides began sharing concrete details and entered into a substantive negotiation phase. - Full acceptance of SM’s requirements
After the second mediation session (October 2), CBX accepted all conditions presented by SM to enable EXO’s year-end full-group comeback and officially conveyed their agreement. - Adjusting schedules with EXO’s activities as the top priority
The members cleared their individual schedules for December and awaited SM’s final response through their legal representatives.
However, while these efforts were underway, they learned about the announcement of an EXO fan meeting and full-length album release that excluded CBX members.
