EXO Kai Successfully Kicks Off First Solo Concert Tour in Seoul
‘World-class performer’ Kai of EXO successfully launched his first solo concert tour with two sold-out shows in Seoul. The 2025 KAI SOLO CONCERT TOUR kicked off on May 17 and 18 at the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium, drawing a total of 9,000 fans and showcasing Kai’s powerful ticket-selling power.
The title “KAION” symbolizes “Kai’s eternal beginning on stage.” During the concert, Kai said, “I prepared every performance with the hope that EXO-L would love it. I hope this proves that Kai is truly back and that EXO-Ls can walk away thinking, ‘This is why I love Kai,’ and ‘He’s my ultimate dopamine.’ Let’s never be apart.”
The ‘KAION’ show was a powerful blend of Kai’s solo discography, built since 2020, brought to life through dynamic performances. Utilizing a stage shaped like the word “KAI,” the concert highlighted the full range of his charms—controlled and explosive, fresh and sexy, intense and soft—delivering what fans called “perfection and beyond.”
Kai performed songs from his 4th mini album released on April 21, including Wait On Me, Adult Swim, Walls Don’t Talk, and Pressure, along with solo hits from previous albums such as Mmmh, Ride Or Die, Reason, Hello Stranger, and Domino. He also delivered a special EXO medley featuring Confession, My Lady, Baby Don’t Cry, and Angel, in his signature style.
Highlights included:
- A graceful solo dance in front of a giant mirror for Sinner
- A sensual performance on a moving lift for Slidin’
- A sweet rendition of Peaches atop a tilted turntable structure
- An electrifying Bomba stage with laser effects
- A visually captivating Rover performance enhanced by conceptual typography on massive LED screens
In total, Kai performed 23 songs, treating fans to a rush of “Kai-style dopamine.”
Fans filled the venue dressed in a “camouflage military” dress code and showered Kai with applause after each stage. During a surprise event in the photo time segment, the crowd shouted “Jongin, we love you,” leaving Kai visibly emotional. The concert ended with a touching group singalong to To Be Honest, creating unforgettable memories.
Closing the show, Kai shared, “Because it was my first solo concert, I was more afraid than I expected, but I thought of EXO-L whenever it got hard. Being in front of you gives me strength and happiness. Thank you so much for coming and spending your precious time here. I want to give you a round of applause.”
Following the Seoul ‘KAION’ concerts, Kai will continue his tour in 10 Asian cities including Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Jakarta, Singapore, Taipei, Manila, Bangkok, Yokohama, and Hong Kong.
