NCT WISH Sakuya and Ryo Bubble Log Off Early While Other Members Stay Late
On April 30, NCT WISH and RIIZE launched their paid fan messaging platform, Bubble, offering fans one-on-one-style updates from idols in real time.
Soon after the launch, fans noticed that Sakuya and Ryo, both born in 2007, abruptly stopped messaging around 10PM KST. Meanwhile, the group’s adult members remained active well past midnight, with some continuing to send messages until 1AM.
At 10:02PM, Sakuya sent a short message saying he had to go to bed and wouldn’t be able to send a photo that night. Ryo also went silent at the same time. No official explanation was given, but fans speculated the early log-off was likely due to South Korea’s Youth Protection Act, which prohibits minors under 18 from working after 10PM.

At first, some fans expressed disappointment about them sleeping too fast, but after they noticed it was because of law, many agreed it was appropriate to protect underage idols.
At first fans were ‘Ahh…,’ as the members left Bubble in hurry.
But as they shared the reasons they started to understand the issue.
“Since they’re minorsㅠ, there are some idols who have the same 10PM curfew on Bubble as they do for broadcasts, because it’s a paid service lol.”
“Other groups’ underage members also suddenly cut off Bubble lives at 10PMㅠ. Since Bubble is a subscription-based service, it counts as paid work… Saku probably won’t be able to use it until Novemberㅜㅜ.”
“@49bbang Some idols are allowed to keep messaging, and others get cut off like this. I guess it depends on the group—looks like WISH has some kind of restriction.”
Once fans understood the reason, they even exchanged lighthearted jokes like,
