Seunghan Solo Debut has confirmed by SM
Seunghan, who left the group Riize due to controversy over his private life, will make his solo debut in the second half of next year.
“Seunghan is preparing to debut as a solo artist in the second half of 2025,” the agency SM Entertainment said on the 15th. “is receiving full support and guidance across several aspects considered essential for a solo debut including systemized training, producing, management, and more.”
“We would like to share an announcement regarding our artist, SEUNGHAN,” he said. “Seunghan is determined to showcase a new side of himself as he embarks his journey as a solo artist and carries out his talents and dreams. We kindly ask for your warm support and attention as he begins this new chapter.”
Seunghan, who debuted as RIIZE in September last year, has been embroiled in a controversy over his private life. He suspended his team activities indefinitely in November the same year after videos and photos of him personally taken as a trainee were circulated online.
SM announced Seunghan’s return to the team last month, but fans strongly protested by sending a protest wreath to SM’s office building.
In response, Seunghan decided to withdraw from RIIZE just two days after announcing his return to the team. With Seunghan’s withdrawal, RIIZE was reorganized into a six-member team.
“I think it’s the way for everyone that I’m going out of the team,” Seunghan said in a handwritten letter, adding, “I don’t want to cause any more confusion and hurt to the fans, I don’t want to cause any more damage to the members, and I don’t want to cause any more damage to the company.”
How fans react to Seunghan Solo Debut?
However, not everyone is welcoming his solo debut. Some are furious at SM Entertainment for making Seunghan solo debut.
Now there is a hashtag saying, #WEWANTSEUNGHANBACKTORIIZE, which wants same thing with #RIIZE_IS_7 hashtag. Some are pointing out re-debuting him as a solo after all the bullies and making him to leave the team is not a smart move, and RIIZE members wanted him to be RIIZE, Seunghan wanted to be RIIZE but had to withdraw from the team as he was bullied and making him to debut as a solo artist is weird.
No need to cancel any mama plan we should move forward with it! They did it just because they wanted Seunghan fans money without protecting him . Don’t let the bullies win please.

So the ones who support Seunghan are being furious of SM’s movement making Seunghan to become a soloist, not RIIZE Seunghan. What would the agency do now?
