Song Seung Hyun recently announced that he is retiring from the entertainment industry. “After much thought, I want to leave the entertainment industry and probably leave Korea to live a new life,” he said. “After four years of working as an actor after leaving FT Island, what is more difficult than a new job and a new environment is the uncertain length of wait and relationship with others.”
“No matter what I do, it won’t be easy to work and have hardness in relationships, too. But I will try to challenge and get a healthy, regular new life that I can be same every day ,” he said, explaining why he is giving up his entertainment activities. However, few days later he announced his retirement the rumors about his marriage were spreading. Some news tablets said that, Song Seung Hyun is retiring from the entertainment industry because of his marriage. According to those, he is set to move to the U.S. after his wedding in June and start a new life. Rumors have it that he is preparing to inherit the family business of a prospective U.S. father-in-law who runs a restaurant business.
He replied to the rumors. “I wanted to announce my extremely personal story and information to the fans at the right time,” he said, but acknowledged the marriage, saying, “Thank you to many people who congratulate me, and I will inform you about the inaccurate information other than marriage when the opportunity arises.” So he was getting married, but it is not sure if he retired for his marriage.
