IDOLS in 2023 MAMA, THE COMEDY
2023 MAMA awards were held at Tokyo Dome, Osaka for two days. As it is one of most famous awards of K-pop, it had grand moments, with fascinating stages for sure. However, as it is a live broadcasting award it had hilarious moments, too. Let’s see what they had and what was on viral.
Treasure Junkyu and his GALAXY FOLD
Junkyu is the famous for his love on GALAXY Fold. 2023 MAMA is sponsored by SAMSUNG. He was the only one who had GALAXY series even before the sponsorship. While the group was awarded for ‘Neo-flip Artists’, the members were holding GALAXY Fold. To Junkyu it seemed dangerous, so he was very worried and couldn’t stand still. His facial expression was cute enough to go viral.
RIIZE on Wrong Microphones
MAMA’s consideration turned to inconvenience for the group, RIIZE. 2023 MAMA had two version of microphone, so the artists will use the one that matches their height. However, RIIZE was too rookie, they couldn’t consider the height of the microphones. The tallest member, Sungchan was using the shorter one, while Wonbin, who is smaller compare to Sungchan, was using the taller one. So the fan commented, “Something’s wrong. Why is everyone standing there so hard?”
Zerobaseone Kim Gyuvin and his invisible prize
ZEROBASEONE Gyuvin was not holding the awards and was standing like a stick. The woman who was handing the awards had to wait until Jiwoong, the oldest member, came to get it. It wasn’t just Gyuvin but Ricky and other members didn’t grab the awards. Fans were laughing at the situation, because it didn’t seem impolite, but they were just being too nervous to stand in front of 40,000 audiences. + It is just a guess of ZB1 fans, that because conjunctivitis is an epidemic disease, Gyuvin would not have touched the award for the health of other members.
2023 MAMA and SAMSUNG GALAXY
The last is Samsung. As I have mentioned it before, the company, SAMSUNG, is the sponsor of 2023 MAMA. While SEVENTEEN was having their performance, the cameraman was showing how much GALAXY phones are incredible. They were zooming a fan’s screen to show the quality of the camera. It made fans laugh.
