G-Dragon Denies Dating Rumors with Lee Jooyeon: “Not True”
G-Dragon’s agency Galaxy Corporation has officially denied ongoing rumors of a rekindled romance between the singer and former After School member Lee Jooyeon.
On June 6, the company released a statement saying, “We would like to clarify that the recent dating rumors involving G-Dragon and Lee Joo-yeon are not true.”
Social Media Clues Sparked Speculation
Rumors began circulating in April when fans noticed similarities between the background of a selfie posted by Lee Joo-yeon and G-Dragon’s known home interior. In the photo, Lee is seen sitting on a black sofa with a cat, and online users pointed out that both the cat’s scarf and the background frame layout resembled G-Dragon’s living space.
Despite the growing online speculation, both parties remained silent until now, when they finally issued a denial.
This is not the first time dating rumors have linked the two. In 2017, G-Dragon and Lee Joo-yeon were rumored to be in a relationship but denied it, describing themselves as just close colleagues. The rumors reignited in 2019 when Lee briefly uploaded a video featuring G-Dragon on social media, which she later deleted. Reports at the time claimed they went paragliding together and dined at the same restaurant during what was described as a secret getaway.
G-Dragon had previously also denied dating rumors with TWICE member Sana, stating those claims were equally baseless.
