G-Dragon PEACEMINUSONE Highball Sells Out 880,000 Cans in 3 Days
CU scrambles to restock as demand for G-Dragon’s limited-edition lemon wine cocktail skyrockets
Instant Sellout for G-Dragon’s First Alcohol Collaboration
CU’s new PEACEMINUSONE Highball has sold out its entire initial stock of 880,000 cans just three days after launch. Released on April 30, the drink was created using G-Dragon’s personal brand IP, blending a wine base with real lemon for a crisp, refreshing flavor.
The number “88” was chosen in reference to G-Dragon’s birth year, 1988 — a number he’s often associated with. CU confirmed on May 6 that the product’s explosive demand far exceeded expectations, leading to an immediate second production run of 120,000 cans.

Fans Search Stores, Pop-Up Events Expand
With stock running low, fans have been tracking down remaining inventory across the country. “Some even looked up stock locations and biked across town to find them,” said CU’s liquor product manager, Jang Joo-hyun.
CU has opened themed pop-up stores at major tourist locations including Incheon Airport, Myeongdong, and Hongdae. More pop-ups are planned for:
- May 10 at CU AK& Hongdae (Music Library)
- May 27 at CU Myeongdong (K-Food Concept Store)
CU Eyes More Collabs with Cultural Icons
Following the success of the PEACEMINUSONE launch, CU says it plans to expand its alcohol lineup with “new concepts that mix lifestyle and culture.” The move signals a bigger trend of K-pop star branding meeting everyday consumer products — and this one just happened to sell out in 72 hours.
