G-Dragon’s agency, Galaxy Corporation, has officially filed criminal complaints against individuals accused of spreading false information and defamatory content online.

On October 17, Galaxy Corporation released a statement confirming that it has taken legal action against those responsible for malicious posts targeting the artist. The company stated, “We are pursuing strong legal measures in response to defamation, the spread of false information, and malicious slander directed at G-Dragon.”

According to the agency, the internal investigation — based on fan reports and collected evidence — was completed by the end of September. On October 15, multiple offenders were formally reported to law enforcement under charges of defamation through the Information and Communications Network Act.

Galaxy Corporation emphasized that it is prioritizing serious criminal conduct such as defamation through false statements, rather than simple insults, to ensure meaningful punishment. “We continue to provide additional evidence to investigative authorities and will pursue strict legal consequences,” the agency added.

The company also confirmed that it will continue to cooperate with investigative agencies to track offenders operating under anonymous or pseudonymous identities across major online platforms such as DC Inside, Daum Café, X (formerly Twitter), Nate Pann, FM Korea, and Naver.

“While privacy laws prevent us from disclosing individual suspects or detailed case progress, we plan to regularly update the official community with investigation updates,” the statement said.

Galaxy Corporation further encouraged fans to keep submitting reports to assist in the ongoing investigation, requesting evidence of malicious posts in PDF format including URLs, user information, content, and capture dates.

The agency concluded,

We are actively cooperating with the law firm Yulchon to take legal action against malicious posts that defame, spread false information, or slander our artist, G-DRAGON.

Based on collected materials and fan submissions, we completed a full review by the end of September and officially filed multiple complaints on October 15 for violations of the Information and Communications Network Act (defamation).

We are focusing on severe offenses such as “defamation through false statements” to ensure actual punishment and continue to submit selected cases to the authorities.

In cooperation with investigative bodies, we will pursue additional complaints against those who spread malicious content using anonymous or pseudonymous accounts, primarily on DC Inside, Daum Café, X (formerly Twitter), Nate Pann, FM Korea, and Naver.
