Golden Child Choi Bomin left a message to fans as he leaves the group, Golden Child.
On the 28th, former Golden Child Choi Bomin uploaded a handwritten letter regarding the announcement of the end of his contract with Golden Child through Weverse.
He said, “Seven years have already passed, and I’m here today at the age of 25,” and “I’m grateful for giving me unforgettable memories throughout my life. I also want to sincerely thank our Goldenness for making me, who is lacking in many ways, shine and receiving more than I deserve.”
He continued, “It’s still a moment for me to open a new and unfamiliar door, but with the love and support I’ve received so far, I will try to greet you in a better way and work harder in many ways.” He announced his activities, saying, “I will greet you with a better image and news as soon as possible.”
Finally, Golden Child Choi Bomin ended with, “I support the future of our Goldenness and our Golden Child members who have been running with me all this time. This was Golden Child’s youngest Choi Bomin.”
Earlier on the 27th, his agency Woollim Entertainment announced the termination of the exclusive contracts with Golden Child members TAG, Kim Jibeom, and Choi Bomin. Along with this, he announced the news of re-signing with five members: Lee Jangjun, Bae Seungmin, Bong Jaehyun, Kim Donghyun, and Hong Joochan. Accordingly, Golden Child will continue promotions as a 7-member group, including the members who have re-signed and Lee Daeyeol and Y who still have contracts remaining but are serving their military service.

Hello. This is Golden Child Choi Bomin.
First of all, I would like to share my story with you, Goldenness, who have been with us for a long time, and our members who must have been the most surprised by this news, so I am very cautious but I hope that you can feel my feelings even a little.
Starting as a trainee at Woollim Entertainment in 2015, and meeting our Goldenness for the first time in front of the public on August 28, 2017, 7 years have already passed, and I am now 25 years old.
During those 7 years that I didn’t know would last forever, I think I was able to receive moments and times that felt like a dream because our Goldenness was always there for me and cheered me on. Thank you for giving me memories that I will never forget until the end of my life. I also sincerely thank our Goldenness for making me, who was lacking in many ways, into a person who could shine and for giving me an excessive amount of love.
And I would like to express my sincere gratitude to CEO Lee Jung-yeop of Woollim Entertainment for choosing me when I was 16 and lacking in everything, and for allowing me to live as Golden Child Choi Bomin, who stands in front of you now. From the very beginning, through the various stages in between, to today, he was like a father to me, and thanks to him, I was able to become who I am today. Thank you again for raising and nurturing me properly.
I think I was able to do this moment because of the precious members who were always by my side and their support. Daeyeol hyung, Sungyoon hyung, Jangjun hyung, Youngtaek hyung, Seungmin hyung, Jaehyun hyung, Jibeom hyung, Donghyun hyung, and Joochan hyung, who I have spent 9 years with, I was happy because they were all hyungs, and they are all more precious to me.
I always say the same thing, but I am truly grateful because they taught me one thing at a time when I was young and didn’t know anything, waited for me, and took care of me as the youngest member of the team. I think I was able to be happier as the youngest member of Golden Child because the people who spent time with me were our hyungs. I always support each and every one of our hyungs, no matter what the moment, and I am always grateful.
Today is the moment when I open a new door that is still unfamiliar to me, but with the love and support I have received so far, I will greet you in a better way and work harder in many ways. I sincerely thank the Goldenness and Woollim Entertainment family who have spent their youth with me and each and every precious person I have met. I will greet you with a better side and news as soon as possible.
