BamBam Reflects on GOT7’s 11-Year Journey and the Power of Friendship
In the accompanying interview, BamBam shared updates on his life and career, revealing he’s recently returned to working out and cherishing the time spent with his friends. Reflecting on GOT7’s reunion earlier this year after three years apart, he expressed deep gratitude and happiness for being able to release new music and spend meaningful moments with his fellow GOT7 members.
Discussing the creative process behind the group’s title track “PYTHON,” BamBam revealed the song was written two to three years ago and described the nerves he felt while directing the members during production. He also credited Yugyeom for his significant contributions to the choreography and music video concepts.
Marking his 11th year since debut, BamBam looked back on the challenges and growth he’s experienced, emphasizing that the support of friends was crucial in helping him overcome difficult times. “There were many moments when it was hard to endure stress alone, but having friends to talk to made it possible to get through,” he shared.
Exploring BamBam’s Solo Career: New Inspirations and Future Rap Unit Plans
When asked about potential unit activities, BamBam mentioned that fans are eager to see a rap unit with Mark and Jackson, noting, “All three of us are rappers, and we’ve never shown this combination before. I think it would be really fresh, and I’d love to release a hip-hop album together.”
On his solo career, BamBam spoke about drawing inspiration from new experiences and places, such as the sea and mountains, and his recent focus on creating more positive and exciting music. He explained that his songwriting is now influenced not only by personal stories but also by the emotions and atmospheres of different environments.
In a playful twist, BamBam described himself as an “onion,” saying, “Like an onion, I want to be someone who reveals new charms the more you get to know me. I hope to remain a person with many layers and a unique color that doesn’t change, no matter the situation.” He concluded by expressing his determination to continue sharing his distinctive charm with even more people in the future.
