Jackson Wang MAGIC MAN 2 Debuts at No.13 on Billboard 200 — A Career-High Achievement
Jackson Wang, former GOT7 member and global star, has achieved a career-high on the Billboard 200, debuting at No.13 with his second full-length album, MAGIC MAN 2.
Billboard’s latest chart update (August 2) confirmed that the album, released on July 18, outperformed his previous record set by MAGIC MAN in 2022, which peaked at No.15.
In its first week, MAGIC MAN 2 sold 32,000+ units, ranking No.4 on Top Album Sales, No.3 on Vinyl Albums, and No.2 on Indie Store Album Sales. It also secured No.9 on Spotify’s Top Album Debut U.S. chart, reinforcing Jackson’s global presence.
Critics praised the album’s artistry. Apple Music’s Zane Lowe called it, “a reflection of humanity within modern pop,”while Amazon Music’s Zach Sang described it as “astonishingly well-crafted.”
Jackson wrote, composed, and produced the album, calling it his most personal work yet: “This album expresses my thoughts on life, family, and the music industry. It’s about finding balance amid life’s highs and lows.”
Jackson’s influence extended beyond music charts. His Barnes & Noble fan event in New York attracted huge crowds, and TikTok saw Made Me a Man trending with 55,000+ videos. Meanwhile, the single GBAD reached 32M YouTube views, continuing its rise.
Jackson also dominated global media, landing covers of L’Officiel across 10 countries and interviews with Billboard, Hypebeast, WWD, and NME.
Known for pushing boundaries, Jackson became the first solo artist to perform three times at Coachella 2023, topping global X (formerly Twitter) trends. Today, he serves as Creative Director for Nike and Jordan Brand and as a global ambassador for Louis Vuitton, Cartier, and Hennessy, cementing his reputation as a cultural icon.
