Ha Sungwoon’s agency speaks about LOVE NEXT DOOR OST controversy
While singer Baek Yerin raised suspicions of plagiarism in the OST of “LOVE NEXT DOOR,” singer Ha Sungwoon, who sang the song, first expressed his position.
Ha Sungwoon’s agency, Big Planet Made Entertainment, drew a line on the 4th, saying, “Ha Sung-woon has nothing to do with the controversy over plagiarism regarding Baek Yerin’s alleged plagiarism of the OST ‘What are we’ of the drama ‘LOVE NEXT DOOR’ sung by Ha Sungwoon through SNS.”
It is argued that he participated as a simple singer at the request of the drama OST production company, but was not involved in writing, composing, and arranging. So he has nothing to do with the LOVE NEXT DOOR OST plagiarism issue.
The agency said, “Nevertheless, we are sorry that the OST sung by Ha Sung-woon was caught up in a plagiarism dispute and caused concern to fans,” adding, “We would like to reiterate that Ha Sung-woon is irrelevant to this plagiarism, and we hope Baek Yerin and the OST production company will resolve it smoothly.”
Earlier, Baek Yerin posted a video of Ha Sung-woon’s “What are we,” the OST of the weekend drama “LOVE NEXT DOOR,” on her Instagram account and wrote in English, “If you want a song like mine, Please ask me so :)”
