KATSEYE Wins First MTV VMA Award for “PUSH Performance of the Year” 2025 VMAs
HYBE x Geffen Girl Group Makes Impactful Debut
KATSEYE—a multinational girl group formed by HYBE and Geffen Records through the global audition project “The Debut: Dream Academy”—won their first-ever MTV Video Music Award on September 8 at the 2025 MTV VMAsheld at UBS Arena in New York.
The group, composed of members Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sophia, and Yoonchae, was honored with the PUSH Performance of the Year award. The accolade is given to the artist with the most outstanding performance from MTV’s monthly PUSH campaign—KATSEYE had participated in January with their debut title track “Touch.”

During their speech, KATSEYE expressed heartfelt thanks:

Billboard Hot 100 Success and Pre-Show Performance
The group’s presence at the VMAs follows a string of recent successes. KATSEYE made headlines after two of their songs, “Gabriela” and “Gnarly,” charted on the Billboard Hot 100. They also performed both tracks during the VMA pre-show, further showcasing their global appeal.
Their win marks a significant milestone as KATSEYE continues to grow into one of K-pop’s most promising global acts.
