In Korea, idols do pre-recording of the music shows with fans. In order to recruit applicants fairly, the agencies use various methods. Some use Weverse application, some use Mnet Plus application and more, but the point is first come-first serve. To go to the prerecording events, many fans use ‘proxy ticketing.’ ‘proxy ticketing’ is the people who uses some macro programs, a method of increasing the success rate by allowing you to quickly apply for multiple commands with a function that can be simply grouped into one command. So people pay the ‘proxy ticketing’ accounts to go to the prerecording.
ILLIT Prerecording is different?
ILLIT fans were doing same thing, the fans were asking ‘proxy ticketing’ accounts to apply for them. However, two different accounts said ILLIT prerecording apply is different from other idols. They claim that “always MEN and Foreigners fail.’
One account said, “ILLIT music shows are weird. Men and Foreigners M.O.S.T.L.Y fails. Females always get accepted, even when they do late. In my guess, they have a proportion of men in set, and if there aren’t enough women, the extra seats are filled with men. Still if the men can not fill all the seats, it seems that foreigners can get a position at last.”
Other account has made a thread, and in the thread the user has posted 4 different applications. The account user claimed that all 4 were done by one person’s computer at the same time, but only male applicant failed to be accepted in the list. By this, the user says, they will not get a request from men and foreigners because they always fail whenever they try.
As these two ‘proxy ticketing’ accounts claimed discrimination is happening in ILLIT prerecording fans participants, fans are debating over the tweets. Some say they saw male fans in the prerecording venue and just questioning that ‘proxy ticketing’ accounts could just simply late on a first-come, first-served basis. Meanwhile, some believes the ‘proxy ticketing’ accounts and saying it is suspicious.
