ILLIT Wonhee erasing comments on ’50 Day Anniversary’
The power struggle between Min Hee Jin’s ADOR and Bang Si Hyuk’s HYBE dragged in many idols into the fight. New Jeans from ADOR, LE SSERAFIM from Source Music and ILLIT from BE:LIFT LAB are them. By the circumstances, ILLIT was unable to avoid malicious comments or criticism from the netizens. During ILLIT’s ‘Debut +50 days’ Weverse Live Streaming, ILLIT Wonhee was caught erasing and reporting comments. People are assuming it is a malicious comments about the plagiarism.
How do Korean react to the scene?
ILLIT Wonhee erasing the comments by herself made many people to feel sorry to her. However, not everyone thought it was a pity. Some even pointed out that netizens should not get fooled by HYBE.
They said it is a play by HYBE and BE:LIFT LAB. “But, by common sense, the one they always supported as ‘CENTER’ sat at the edge, and making her to read comments in ‘LIVE STREAMING?’ HYBE is very talented in manipulating media ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ So even this looks suspicious.”
Some netizens even pointed out that right after the live streaming was done, too many YouTube shorts were made, that it might be the plan of HYBE. Comments on YouTube Shorts were not positive on ILLIT. “Why do staffs give a phone to ILLIT Wonhee? What is the benefit? The child would be hurt, and from our point of view, we have no choice but to recognize that HYBE uses malicious comments to generate sympathy. Giving out phones to check comments is normal, but they should see the circumstances. There are too many HYBE’s slaves who can not read the room” This comment earned 3,100 likes.
Even if it was a play that HYBE planned to earn sympathy, it seems that the method is not working with Korean netizens. People are not gaining sympathy but giving a suspicious look at HYBE.
