EXO-CBX in INB100
Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin are the members of EXO and EXO subunit, EXO-CBX. They announced they will start their solo careers at INB100. INB100 is an agency that was newly founded by Baekhyun last July. The three members announced on Monday that they will start a new career with various activities at an independent label. However, they made sure they will continue their EXO group activities under the management of EXO’s agency, SM Entertainment. So Baekhyun, Xiumin and Chen’s solo activities will take place at the independent label, INB100 and the group activity will be cared by SM Entertainment. INB100 said it was under the mutual agreement with SM Entertainment in the press release.
“Now it has been 13 years from debut, EXO-CBX members have been asking themselves about their future. They were discussing about their life as an artist after their 20s, as the K-Pop culture is changing too fast.” So the beginning of the label was based on their thoughts and ambitions. INB100 will aim to respect each member’s uniqueness and individuality, especially by helping them experiment by producing their own work, according to the company.
SM Entertainment said
After INB100’s press release, SM Entertainment reiterated that the three members will continue their activities as EXO. The plans are made based on the contract. Not just Baekhyun, Xiumin and Chen, but member D.O. also signed to another agency. D.O. signed to Company Soosoo for his individual activities. So some fans were having anxiety that they will not continue the group activities, however SM promised the future. SM said, “All eight members of EXO will continue as a group to present new music and performances.”
