INFINITE Sung Jong Notifies due to Trust Lost
Group INFINITE Seong Jong notified his agency of the termination of the exclusive contract.
According to the report of “The Fact”, Seong Jong notified his agency SPK Entertainment to terminate the exclusive contract at the end of last year. He sent several proofs of contents. It was confirmed that the reasons for terminating the exclusive contract being not payed and he lost the trust on the agency.
LawyerKang Yoon-hee of the law firm Won, Seong Jong’s legal representative, said, “We sent several proofs of contents and notified the termination of the exclusive contract. The main reasons are the non-payment of activity and the breakdown of trust relationships. There was no human and material support during the activities after the contract, and no money was paid for the activities.”
However, according to ‘THE FACT,’ the representative of the agency has not yet given any official answer to Seong Jong. Regarding the proof of the contents, and has been silent. ‘THE FACT’ asked the representative of SPK about the issue. The representative declined to answer to questions about Seong Jong.
INFINTE Seong Jong has tried several times for consultation, but it has not been done. By this, he is also considering a lawsuit if the representative of SPK continues not to respond.
Seong Jong after Exclusive Contract
INFINITE Seong Jong successfully completed a domestic concert in October, 2022 and a fan meeting in Taiwan in November. It was about a month after signing his contract, and released his single ‘The One’ in March 2023. In July that year, he participated in INFINITE’s seventh mini album ’13gin.’ At that time, INFINITE showed off its potential to sell out all the concerts held at KSPO DOME.
About a year and three months have passed since the exclusive contract. He was busy as INFINITE but only one single as a solo artist. He gets cared for group activity from INFINITE COMPANY.So nothing done by SPK. It is hard to say that the support has been properly implemented. In addition, Seong Jong claims that as a solo artist, he has released fan meetings and concerts, especially albums as INFINITE and sold out large-scale concerts, but has not received any settlement money for these activities.
