Is G-Dragon innocent as he said?
Group Big Bang leader, G-Dragon (Kwon Ji Yong, 35) has completely denied drug use charges. On October 27 , G-Dragon made clear statement to completely reverse the charges of him through Kim Soo Hyun, a lawyer at K1 Chamber, a legal representative, saying, “I have never taken drugs.” The lawyer was saying G-Dragon is innocent. However netizens are debating over “Is G-Dragon innoncent?”
The drug crime investigation team in Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the October 25, that it is investigating G-Dragon on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act. About two days after the fact that he was arrested, G-Dragon directly denied his allegations through a legal representative.
G-Dragon strongly denied his allegations. G-Dragon said, “First of all, I have never taken drugs. It is also said that it has nothing to do with the recent news reports on the “violation of narcotics management laws” released in the media. “However, I know that many people are concerned. So I will actively cooperate with the investigation of the police,” he said.
Fans and Netizens are having opposite sides
After the report of G-Dragon’s allegations, fans were shocked but are watching the situation. One fan posted a message on SNS saying, “I will be with G-Dragon forever,” and that he was on his side despite the suspicion of drug use, and it drew attention when it was revealed that G-Dragon “liked” it.
On the other hand, most of the public maintains a suspicious gaze on G-Dragon. This is not the first time that G-Dragon is suspected of taking drugs. In 2011, he was booked by the police on charges of smoking cannabis in Japan, and a hair test also tested positive. He explained that he did it by a mistake. Someone gave him a cigarette and he just used it, was the excuse. Because of the history, some believe his denial, some do not. Some are even talking about the weird acting videos. They say it is the evidence of him being high.
