Jennie reveals her struggles on tvN’s “Yoo Quiz on the Block”
Jennie Opens Up About Burnout, Self-Doubt, and Strained Emotions
On the May 7 episode of tvN’s Yoo Quiz on the Block, Jennie spoke honestly about the emotional challenges she faced during BLACKPINK’s global rise. She revealed that after the group began world tours and her solo career launched, she experienced severe burnout and began comparing herself to her fellow BLACKPINK members.
“Schedules doubled after my solo came out, and I didn’t know how to take care of myself. I lost weight, injured my ankle, and I just kept pushing through.”
Jennie explained that she began to feel disconnected from her loved ones and questioned her self-worth:
“Everyone said I looked amazing on TV, but I felt like I was falling behind. The other members were doing so well beside me. I thought, ‘Why am I the only one stuck like this?’”

“I Wasn’t Myself Anymore”
Jennie described how her usual warmth faded as burnout took over:
“I used to be someone who loved openly, but at one point, I started saying hurtful things and shutting people out. I felt like I wasn’t myself anymore.”
The pandemic gave her time to pause and rediscover herself. She filled her days with different hobbies and began focusing on her well-being.
“I realized how important it is to be healthy. These days, I always put my health first.”
