WHY PPL LOVE HER COVER?
The album cover was worked by Naoko Takeuchi, a cartoonist from Sailor Moon. It was a big issue in K-Netizens. They loved how Jennie and Takeuchi had a collaboration. They said “JENNIE DID JENNIE”. This kind of reactions are made because K-netizens are too tired of all the plagiarism. Tracing problem was a problem once in a while. The last tracing controversy happened in Jeon Somi’s music video. She hired an illustrator for a scene, and the illustrator gave her the traced pictures.

@Somi ‘FAST FORWARD’
The controversy happened, because the characters in the music video were similar to the drawing style of Japanese cartoonist Lumiko Takahashi’s “Loud Stars.”
So Somi had to apologize to the netizens about the fact that she was ignorant. After that, as she promised she erased the scene and put a scene of her.
The under picture is the scene that was used in the ‘FAST FORWARD’ music video. It made the controversy, and the upper picture is what replaced the problematic scene.
However, it is not just once in K-POP. ADOY’s cover had a big controversy on tracing, too. The singers are getting hurt, because of some illustrators. Of course, it is the duty of artists to check on the reference and see if it may occur the controversy.
So K-netizens were getting tired of all the tracings, and wanted artists to respect the copyright and creative. Jennie did that, actually she did more. She had a collaboration with the ‘ORIGINAL ARTIST’, and they said they are planning to sell products that are related to the collaboration. So K-netizens are saying “JENNIE DID JENNIE”.
