Ju Haknyeon to Leave THE BOYZ After Private Meeting with Former Japanese Porn Actress Kirara Asuka
Ju Haknyeon will officially leave THE BOYZ following controversy over a private encounter with a former Japanese porn actress.
On June 18, agency One Hundred stated,
“Upon receiving reports of Ju Haknyeon’s involvement in a personal controversy, we immediately suspended his activities and conducted a thorough fact-checking process.”
The company continued,
“As a result, we recognized the severity of the situation and concluded that it would be difficult to maintain public trust in him as an artist. After extensive discussions with the other members of THE BOYZ, we have officially decided to terminate his exclusive contract and confirm his departure from the group.”
The agency emphasized that this was an unavoidable decision made to protect the rest of the members and the group itself.
“As of today, Ju Haknyeon has ended all activities as a member of THE BOYZ.”
According to a News1 report on the same day, Ju Haknyeon was spotted in late May at a private bar in Tokyo with former Japanese porn actress Asuka Kirara. Citing Japanese outlet Shukan Bunshun, the report claimed that on May 29, Ju visited a bar in Roppongi with acquaintances and was seen engaging in physical contact with Asuka Kirara, including hugging.
Asuka Kirara debuted as a porn actress in 2007 and retired from the industry in 2020. She is now active as a public figure and influencer.
News of the meeting prompted Ju Haknyeon’s sudden withdrawal from group activities. Previously, on June 16, One Hundred had announced his temporary hiatus due to personal reasons, without specifying the details.
“We sincerely apologize to THE B (fan club) for the sudden news and ask for your understanding,” the agency said at the time.
